Any Australian Cattle Dog Owners?

    Any Australian Cattle Dog Owners?

We adopted Jasmine 2 years ago, from the local animal shelter.  She'd been picked up as a stray!  I can't believe we've had her that long, already!  She is definitely a herder, although, she knows most of the time, that she shouldn't nip at our heels!  So, she nudges with her nose, instead.

She hates firecrackers outside and if she hears a pop, she will run to the door.  I think she knows she's a cattledog, because she likes barking at cows, when we are in the car!  Not that she would know everything she had to do, but I think she would try to herd cows on her own, if she got a chance.

I have a poorly bred foster ACD which was renamed Sirius (but pronounce CY-RUSS).  LOL.  Her name when she came to us was Cypress but she's not red? Still trying to figure that one out.

She's been here 6 months so probably will end up a failed foster!

I wish I knew someone with cattle since she is a herder extraordinaire!  My poor dog is getting very tired of being nipped and herded when playing in the backyard!

we've got a cattle dog mix. she too is afraid of fireworks, she's always within inches of her mommy and daddy (us) on the fourth of july.

she nips on her heals when we walk away from her but she's not done getting attention, it's a quite soft 'nip' and we think it's cute, so we allow it.

she also likes to nip/hang on her big brother's ears/legs/neck...while he's chasing balls and trying to ignore her.

    she's a great dog.

We have a dog that we also found as a stray in a humane society!  Rio's pic is our avatar!!  She's the best dog!!!! She almost died though from Rocky Mountain Fever, but now that she is on meds, she is doing soooooooo much better!  What a great breed!

My Maggie is probably ACD/Border Collie mixed.  :D She's a very serious little girl most of the time, but she can be an absolute goof at times too.  Her fav hobby is chasing small furry creatures.

This is Trinity.  She lives with my parents but I lived with her for about a year before I left for college.  She's mostly my brothers dog and he names her after the Matrix girl from the movie.  My brother found her when she was a pup, someone dumped a litter of red healer puppies at the river in a box and my brother found them, they were full of ticks, we cleaned them up and keepted trinity and found good homes for all the others.  She's now about 7 years old and has been a wonderful family pet.
