What am I?

This is Buster. He is 11 years old, about 24" at the shoulder, weighs about 35 lbs, and is brindle colored. I tried this back on the old site and got some good responses, but now I have some better pictures. Thanks!

I see Greyhound in his head and ears in the first pic.

I would say greyhound and some other hound, maybe plott or catahoula

Thanks. When we got him all those years ago he was labeled (he was found as a stray)at the rescue as a pitbull/GSD. I never saw the GSD or really the pit, but I always thought greyhound, in fact I always told people that he is a greyhound mix.

About the Plott hound...I have never heard of these so I looked online and found this:
The Plott has a curiously sharp and high-pitched voice, unlike the deep-throated howl common to other coonhounds.

Buster does do a screaming type thing when he is excited, but I don't know if this may be characteristic of other breeds also.

Sharp, high-pitched bark is right!!

When Ginny gives a "HAAAA-OW!!!" at a squirrel, it echoes around the entire neighborhood! It certainty isn't a "yippy" bark, it is just loud and very, very sharp. Thank goodness she doesn't do it in the house ha ha. Your dog is extremely handsome btw

i do see pit in him, look at those ears!! those have pittie written all over them!! i do also see greyhound and somthing else, but i cant quite put my finger on it..hes a cutie btw!
