• rwbeagles Posted : 6/20/2006 12:20:22 PM Her build is very GSD like. rectangular, the sable or black tipped hairs are also quite common in GSD's. She is definitely NOT built like a Terrier...which tend to be straight up and down front and rear and very square. If she is larger than say....45-50lbs then I'd go with Airedale x GSD as they are a large Terrier that is common, the coloring is reminiscent of an Irish terrier or Airedale as well tho she lacks a dark saddle marking. How big is she and what's her weight?   Oftentimes people think Terrier when they see a wire coat and forget that sighthounds like Irish Wolfhounds and Deerhounds carry it too...along with Schnauzers and even Dachshunds. Wire is a dominant coat so one of her parents had it visibly. I have a dog that is schnauzer or Terrier X with husky...she has the Husky double coat with soft fluffy underfur and her markings as a pup were textbook husky with the reverse mask. • georgie4682 Posted : 6/20/2006 12:39:49 PM Thanks for the response!  Lady is about 30lbs. and fairly small (about 18" at the shoulder)compared to our other two dogs.  Her hair is normally longer, but we try to keep it trimmed shorter.  I think she may be too small to be a GSD, but who knows, I guess its possible!  Here is another pic of her. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
