The Belgian sheepdog (groenendael) and Tervuren are the same breed (in every registry except AKC), so in general, they will have much of the same temperment. But most people like to stick with breeding one variety anyways, and so the varieties have developed differences (there are exceptions, of course). We find that tervuren are alot more laid back and low drive compared to groenendaels. We find them to be slower in agility, with less intensity and "Belgian freakiness." Around here the tervs are huge and hairy, while the groens are small and not so hairy.
