Well, I don't have any pics yet but you can bet I will post when i do.  Jasmine (Jazzy for short) Is our new addition to the family. She is marliquin.  Since i have had her people keep saying that is the biggest dalmation i have ever seen.  she is just 8 weeks old and she is as big as my sheltie[:-] but she is beautiful

I just LOVE danes.  I don't own one, and who knows if I ever will, but they are **one of** my dream dogs!

Sorry i forgot her name is Dutchess. She is almost 3 years young. She is one of the most wonderful, sweet, cuddlebugs i have ever met!!!That was why it was so strange to find her at the pound. She was apparently well cared for,no behavior problems,so apparent health issues and just a love!! Thier loss is my gain! She also keeps me very warm in the winter and does not hog the bed.For a big dog she can curl up into a very small ball!

i've been living with a Great Dane for 8 years, unfortunately my beloved Theodor died in august 2002 for stomach bloat [sm=sad.gif] . He was a big lazy giant and I'll never foget him...though it was not so easy to live with such a huge dog, he was very calm and equilibrated but still people were looking at him as if he was a monster so sometimes it was quite stressing to take him to the park and let him run with other dogs as other dogs owners used to scream out "take that elefant away!" [:(
But still, he was as sweet as big! It's really a joy for me to see photos of your great danes, you're lucky to have those lovely dogs at your side!

What a beautiful animal and such a treat to see so many danes with their ears and tails intact.  My biggest reason for not owning a Dane was I couldn't bring myself to take away what God had created them with-and I understand now that it isn't necessarily required to crop and doc.  I also didn't go with doberman's for the same reason.  Although we did own a dobe with ears and tail intact-everyone thought that he was a tall skinny lab, and we let them think so, because he was so kind and gentle in nature.

As the owner of an Irish wolfhound, I can certainly sympathize with over the top reactions to giant breed dogs....You feel like Moses must have parting the Red Sea just going down the street for walks

Danes shouldnt have their tails docked, its a disqualification in the show ring..
Do you have any pics of your wolfie!? i LOVE the breed, they are really awsome dogs..yes lol, you feel like a movie star when you walk a giant breed.. people come to a screeching hault just to look at your dogs, walk across busy intersections just to get a better look at them, and stalk you for miles so they can see "what that huge thing is" LMAO...but they could care less aboutthe person walking them," they jsut want to see if you really were walking a horse down the block"..lol [;)]
