These are some Canaan pics I found. Also, Zoe's temperament is that of a Canaan. She's vocal, intelligent, territorial, affectionate with the family, but not overly so. Also, she's obedient, but I always have the feeling she's doing it because she wants to, not because I told her to!

I always thought Zoe looked like she was part Siberian. Her personality sure sounds like Siberian, especialy the vocal and intelligent part.

Thanks. I live in Ontario, but Zoe came from the States, Ohio I think, I don't know if Canaans are popular there.

lol she's too intelligent sometimes! Her adoption papers say eskie/husky, but she's on the small medium side and doesn't have a lot of fur. I don't know, but it sure is fun to guess!

Funny you should say that, the neighbor behind me asked if she was a jrt - because Zoe barked constantly whenever she was in the backyard with us!
