    Dane/Lab . . Pit Lab...Boxer Lab...?

    Hey guys,

We can't figure out what our new 4month old pup is. [linkSEE>http://www.divadesignworld.com/mo/][size=4]SEE HIS PHOTO HERE[/link] and let me know what you think.
    Things to know:
    1. He has a VERY wide jaw - it's already as wide or wider than our golden/lab mix. You can't tell in the photo, but you can really feel it.
    2. His chest is cavernous (I think) because his bark is very deep for a puppy
    3. He is extremely docile. And not at all nervouse He likes people, but isn't a total pushover with people like our lab/golden. He loves dogs.
    4. He has a pretty strong prey drive
    5. He has a docked tail - I don't know if he was born that way or if someone did it. They think he was born that way, but it is a total guess
    6. He is a bit thin because he has a really bad case of the worms. He should be thicker. We brought him home yesterday, and are worming him today
    7. He has very long legs and runs like all cute/goofy looking. It's like his legs are flying everywhere
    8. He does not have the lab undercoat

Total shot in the dark but...
    Lab/German Shorthaired Pointer?

I don't see any dane. That tail makes me think GSP mixx also.

I was wondering that, too.  Not so much because of the tail (any tail can be docked), but for some reason,  the feet had me thinking GSP.

Wow - that could be him! They are nice looking dogs and seem like good pets, so that would be good news.

I would say I see lab.. but I don't see pittie in him. He's a very cute pup! would love to see more pics once you get him wormed and some meat on his bones.. get him exercising and having a healthy life.. don't forget to keep us posted!

I'd say boxer/lab mix, mix... with his breeders (or the people who owned hsi mother) docking his tail in hopes that he was going to look more like a boxer.  You see that a LOT around here, unfortunately.

We think our pup is a Lab/Pit Bull Mix.  She's got the black coat with white paws, but I don't see the same face in your pup.  Our Belle has got the pit jaw - I can't believe the muscles she's got.  And she works them out on cheap tennis balls.

Pit and lab. I've seen quite a few of either breed and few of such mixes.

    I think... lab/boxer

    this is a lab/boxer
    • Gold Top Dog
Yeah I dont see any trace of pit or boxer. If he was Dane then he would have massive paws regardless of the worms or being malnourished. I would defintly have to throw in Lab. There are so many breeds that arn't so popular that you wouldnt know about. By his thick muzzle I wanted to say Black Mouth Cur, but pointer is probably your best bet mixed with the lab. DEFNTLY not a bully breed, nothing at all points to that. Welll regardless he looks like a loving guy and congrats on the new addition to the family!

Rhodesian Ridgeback may be in there somewhere by the looks of his paws and legs.  ;Plus a mix of sporting breed and short haired terrier.
