What Breed(s)?

Any guesses for this guy? My friend is thinking of adopting him, but would like to find out what he is to determine if the breed is a good match for their household. He's listed as a husky/shepherd. I think that's correct, but I'm not the best judge.

Beautiful Dog! I think he is Husky/Shepherd mix as well. I have gotten a dog from the shelter and the people that worked there tried to convince me that the dog I was getting was Shepherd/Lab mix but this dog had a black tounge! Chow trait! I had this dog for about 6 months and I had to have him put down, he tried to attack my daughter. Just warn your friend that if they have children, not to get the dog until they know how it will react toward the child

Actually, chows are not the only dogs with black tounges. Any breed can have black pigmentation in the toungue. In fact, I have seen many labs and shepherds with quite a bit of black on their tounges. I definitely see husky, and I think I see some Rottie in the second picture, which would explain the shorter coat. The best way to find out if he is a good match is to have the entire family meet him. Many shelters will let you "try the dog out" for the weekend to see how it works. Talk to the shelter workers about his temperment. No matter what he is, hes cute!
