• jenhuedepohl Posted : 3/23/2007 2:51:32 PM I don't remember the genetics behind it right now, but I was told once that Saints have a black mask, it's just broken up by the white markings - like boxers. It's hard to tell in that pic how the pups ears hang naturally, but if daddy was a shepherd, I'd be likely to think that the ears would be more erect. Another thing to look at is the feet. Labs have pronounced webbing between the toes. If the pup has this, I'd say lab.
