    Newbie..with new puppy!!

Hi all, I am new to this forum, I have 2 dogs. One Skylar is a lab/greyhound mix who is about 6 or 7 she is a doll! We just got a new puppy Maggie who the shelter said was a German Shepherd/Collie mix... but I think she looks like a siberian husky, my sister adopted one from the same litter who looks like a German Shepherd.

I am posting a pic of Maggie...what do you think???

Those ears remind me of GSD, but I'm not great at breed guessing.  One thing's certain - she's gorgeous!  How old is she?

we are guessing about 10-12 weeks the shelter didn't know when she was born.
Thanks, she is such a SWEETIE!!!

what kind of dog is yours?

Waxen, Ruby is a miniature Aussie.  Same as a standard Aussie, just in a slightly smaller package.  She's about 15 weeks old in the Avatar picture.  What kind of dog is yours?  It's hard to tell by the picture...

If her legs are as short as they look I'd say Pembroke Welsh Corgi :)  She does have Husky-ish markings, but the snout's not long enough, unless it lengthens out as she matures, which it very well may.  I don't see much Shepherd in her, except maybe the ears, but I think Corgi or Husky could give her that too, and then again if a littermate looks like Shepherd, then she's probably got it in her :)  Cute pup!

Oh, and her paws don't look big enough to be just Husky/Shepherd...don't they usually have quite massive paws?

Whatever she is, she's a beauty!  Welcome to idog!

Remember folks, the littermate could have gsd in her, and this pup might not.  There can be MANY daddys to a litter.

Thanks for all the replies, I thought she looked like a Corgi as well, but I think she is too big. I honestly don't care what she is as she is soo cute!! But people are asking what she is, and I don't want to just call her a "mutt"
Here are some more pics of her and her "sister" Maizey, plus my niece and the 2 and my mother and the 2

sorry for all the pics but they are soo cute!! Still think the same breed mixes???

I would say Corgi or even a cattle dog because her face looks so much like my Ash's face. She even has the white start marking on her head. I know many breeds have that, but her face is just so much like Ash's, it's amazing. She's just a different color.

    I love that face...............................

She's beautiful.  She does look a bit like my brother's husky did at that age, shape-wise.  But I'm really no good at these guess the breed games.
