blackmouth curr?????

Are black curs black?   Blackmouth Curs have black mouths.  I think it's just the roof of the mouth, not the tongue, but I could be wrong.  They're also called Yellow Blackmouth Curs, so they're usually a yellow-tan.  It's very embarrasing when you chop up the name and call them Yellowmouth Curs.  I made that mistake once.  Unluckily for me I was talking to someone who knew dogs.  I didn't think I'd ever live that down.  0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • sue fitzpatrick FITZPATRICK Posted : 2/26/2007 4:34:36 PM There are alot of hunting specific breeds down south, and this would seem to fall into that category.  They have hunting and field trials and are very organized among those who admire or use the breed.  Would be really hard to tell if the dog figures into the parentage of a mixed dog though unless you were extremely well versed in all the  various measurements for the Blackmouth.  There are plenty of breeds that exhibit the dark tongue and mouth, and plenty of hound breeds that are breeding true but not AKC registered 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
