• Becky K. Posted : 2/6/2007 4:05:32 PM Great ! Aw, Ben is just a month younger then Beau and so cute !. Yes Labs are wonderful. When my parents got their blk Lab, Dixie, I just fell for them. When I got to the point where I knew I was ready, I looked up a breeder whom my mother talked to and, funny enough, she had puppies available. I was so glad and when I finally got Beau home, I felt like a piece of a puzzle had just been added. • TexasDaisy Posted : 2/9/2007 2:23:15 PM My boyfriend had a great chocolate lab that we were very attached to. He had to take a trip and left it with his parents for a while to take care of for him. During that time, one of the neighbors who was upset with his father snuck over when no one was home & killed the lab. The parents' great pyrenees was wounded pretty bad & left for dead, but they came home in time to run him to the vet for help. Anyway, that's my sob story. • Dottie Wimberly Posted : 2/18/2007 7:53:25 PM We have a 5 month old black lab.  She is a really sweet girl and willing most of the time to try it our way .  We are still learning a lot about the breed, even though I read a lot before we brought her home we had always had smaller breeds growing up (shelties, poodles, bostons). I *love* Labs, and I will definitely have another black Lab when I have a house with a yard.
