Anyone know what a English Shepherd is?

• Anyone know what a English Shepherd is? Emily Walker Posted : 2/3/2007 5:21:49 PM I own an English Shepherd and a Sheltie X (rescue). Everytime I talk to my neighbor behind me he asks what type of dog my ES is and I tell him. He always says well it must be half Border Collie and I tell him they are similar but it bugs me that he wont stop telling me it is half BC! What should I do? Ignore him or confront him? I know exactly how it feels, having people stop me almost daily with the question "Collie and what?" as they walk by, like they're impressing me that they can tell "there's Collie in that dog".  They ask "Collie and what?" and I answer either "Collie and Collie" or "No and what, just Collie".  I've had people argue with me too, but fortunately I can explain that I've bred them, they're show dogs, etc., therefore I'm not the only one that "thinks" that they're all Collie. It doesn't bother me he doesn't know what kind of dog it is it bothers me he won't quit telling me I'm wrong about my own dog!
