• diane303 Posted : 1/22/2007 5:15:56 PM Well, sounds like he's your special prize.  You know AKC is not the be all to end all.  My Trudy Blue is hardly even recognized by AKC folks as an English Setter (although the bird dog people recognize her as such even down to her probable blood line).  So enjoy his special qualities.  Be patient with him and remember that a tired puppy is a good puppy.  Are you planning to do any certain activity with him? 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • diane303 Posted : 1/23/2007 4:09:55 PM Oh, cool!  You have a Vizsla, too!  It will be interesting to compare the two birddogs. Pointers have a lot of hound in them and are usually very gentle and mellow in the house and around people.  They just like to follow their nose and their range is about 3 miles! My pointer is much mor "nosey" than my setter.  Grace will intensely follow and point fur and feathers, while my setter, Trudy, is pretty much all birdy!  They are fun to watch when they follow something together (usually a bird). I don't know very much about Vizslas.  Besides being bird dogs, I've heard that they are very sweet.  They should be about the same color, right?  I didn't see the photo of your puppy.  Does he have any white on him at all? 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
