Yes, her paws are just big, actually the fronts are bigger in proportion to the backs. Her chest is not deep, and she only weighs 13 lbs at 12 weeks old. We think she'll get to around 40lbs and be on the smaller side of Aussie average weight.
Now, my Aussie/BC mix Tucker had huge paws too, but he's gotten huge also! He's already 50lbs and is only 7 months old. Although I don't think he's got much more height to go, but I think he'll fill out more, and hopefully his chest will widen a bit to straighten out his front legs. Right now his front paws deviate outwards at the wrist and I'm thinking if the chest widens then his upper arms will twist in, and the front paws will turn in also. (I'm thinking horse conformation, because I know young horses go through that too!) Or maybe he's just got a front leg deviation and they will always be that way. Doesn't matter, it certainly doesn't hinder him and we love him anyways! I've got to get him in flyball, he is so ball-driven it isn't even funny! Last night we were all busy and couldn't throw the ball for him--I was giving my daughter a bath. He finally just dropped the ball into the bathtub to get my attention! I took it out and threw it down the hall for him, and of course he came back and dropped it back in the tub. Well, even after my daughter was out of the tub and we left the bathroom, he still kept dropping it in the tub thinking that's how he'd get one of us to throw it!! He can catch that ball any direction we throw it, even if we throw it up behind him he'll jump and twist in the air and manage to catch it.
