This is my grandma's dog, Eddie. She adopted him from a Golden Retriever rescue a few years ago...I'm not entirely sure how old he is, maybe 5? Anyway, they had him labeled as a Golden/Husky mix. I can see where they got that from, but I'm not sure that's quite right. His face is too wide and bulky for that. He's got that almost puffy look to his snout like I'd expect in an Akita mix, though I don't think he's got that in him. The eyes aren't right for that. The face/markings/fur make me want to say Malamute, but I'd think the tail would curl more for that. Maybe Chow? Dunno. And yes, I know he's really overweight...I just had a conversation with my grandma the other day about it and suggested changing his food (he's on Pro Plan right now which isn't
awful, but I think a better food would help him) and she knows he needs more exercise. She has a dog walker come by about 3 times a week, which is not enough but...sigh. He has no energy...I took him for a bunch of walks and he slows down pretty fast. Aaanyway, I thought this might be a fun one for you guys to chew on for a bit [

He is extremely friendly, hardly ever barks, and is extremely calm/laid back/relaxed (not sure if that's because of his excess weight or not). He
is shaved, though I know his hair was quite long like it is on his ears and the end of his tail.
Northern breed tail dot ^
I love his ears
