Malamute

• Malamute WolfDog Posted : 12/23/2006 11:37:34 AM A lot of people we meet, they ask if our dog is a malamute. We say, "we think he's a husky". Do any of you think there's a possibility of him being a malamute? Even our obedience instructor thought he was a malamute at first. I will show pics if needed. Thanks. • Karen Posted : 1/1/2007 1:52:50 AM I would have to say after looking at a couple of your photo's you dog is not nor does it have Malamute in it.   I would say you have an Alaskan Husky. These are huskies crossed with hounds ie: greyhounds done for speed for faster dogs when racing. • Dionna Igbo Posted : 2/22/2007 5:37:22 AM Hello i am new to the website but i must say a couple of things. that is a husky not a malamute. i agree with the others there. secondly yey! malamute owners.   i have a 9 month old male Alaskan Malamute and his name is Jumanji but we call him JJ. He is lovely. i will try and post a picture of him here at a later date.   I want to ask you all some questions if thats okay.   My mal has seperation anxiety. He doesnt like it when he cannot be with me all the time. We live in a flat and well he howls the place down when no one is there. i have tried and still trying all the methods on regualar websites. we have just started giving him free run of the house and he seems to not howl but i am worried that he may start to get to the stage of wanting to distroy thing.
