• Rebecca Langhus Posted : 1/15/2007 5:08:36 PM I have a 3 year old female. I love her. I was warned before I got her that they need a lot of exercise but I am finding they need more brain exercise than actual physical exercise? My only issue I am finding with her is that she shakes when she is overexcited? Does anybody deal with this and what did you do about it? It is not neurological. I have talked to several other Jack owners who report similar issues. • ColleenC Posted : 1/15/2007 5:33:06 PM I have two Parson Russell Terriers.  Rose and Colton. Rose is not normal at all and love my bunnies and sugar gliders.  She would much rather sleep all day than do anything else.  Colton is a very normal Russell.  He is bouncy and has to have stuff to do or else he will make his own games.  I would not trade either of them for any thing in the world.  In the future, I plan to have a few more with temperments like theirs.  Neither are the least bit dog aggressive.  Both play very well with other intact dogs of the same sex.  When I am able to have my own breeding program, I will spend as much effort on temperment as my mentor does. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Susan Chandler Posted : 1/16/2007 9:48:53 AM They may be a bundle of energy but they are a boundless package of joy too if you exercise them enough.  Think of it this way, they will keep you young and exercised!  They certainly can be the energizer bunnies of the canine world.  My Lucky dog at 11 is just now starting to relax a little but he still gets hyper on occasion!  Love them and their intellect though.  It's like having 2 yr olds around... they can be that clever.  You can almost see them thinking. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
