    My new little man

I just gotta new little boy!
I am more here to show him off, lol, but am really curious what you think he has in him?

His name is Chase, and he is very sweet and tender. Very much like my other girl, Trinity. He is 1 year old, and neutered.
He is a little tiny bit overweight, the vet said, and right now he sits at 50lbs, and comes up to my knees[:)]

My best guess would be a norwegian lundehund mix, but they are very rare, apparently...[sm=rolleyes.gif]

I see Husky X Lab  or even Rottie....that color pattern is known as Agouti in husky's...here is a link to others...Myshka is almost exactly the same color....

My Mom has a Husky/Akita x Rottie cross that is a good bit the same looks wise....her base color is black/tan tho...similar size the same ears and earset.

But he is sooo small. I really can't see those large of breeds in him. When I said comes up to my knees, I ment his head comes up to my knees, hehe. I'll try and get another photo...

The husky I TOTALLY see. His colors, and coat mimic the breed...

His previous owner, I ironically got in touch with her :)
She is utterly crushed that she (had to) give him away. She is pregnant, and her husband may be facing the reality of losing his job. They are unsure whether they can even keep their house.
His story is that he came into the SPCA as a parvo puppy, that could not, by any means be able to afford the cure, and care. So she took him in as a foster, but fell in love, and decided to keep him. He has been raised on a ranch, along side of children, cats, and horses. Oh, and another dog, a Lhasa Apso.
She cried, I cried. I told her she will always be his real mommy, because she was there for him in the worst part of his life. I told her anytime she wants to take him on a walk, or even for sleep over, she is welcome to take him. She offered anytime we need a dog sitter, to take our dogs.
She Mentioned he walks better with a haltie, and said she will drop it off. I have to go back to the SPCA for his yearly shots, they were out of the vaccine when we were there, but he isn't even due for it until January, so there is no hurry

Anyways, here is a picture of him standing, with his tail all curly. Keep in mind, he's a year old, so should be full grown, and as I said, his head comes to my knees, and I'm only 5'2, lol.

Huskies are not large dogs....they typically run 35-50lbs....they stand around  21-23 inches at the shoulder(this is about the height of a Border Collie, Whippet, Aussie). When you mix in more than 3 breeds you will typically see a tendency towards a mean....meaning everything will be in the middle...medium size, medium coat, etc. Husky mix, breeding with a Lab would probably yield a smaller dog.

50lbs is a pretty good sized dog, actually. Side views standing would help a lot...the other pic you posted didn't come thru [;)]

    Oops, lol

    I hope this one works...

I have to get a picture of my Mom's dog....she looks A LOT like your boy. She is Husky/Rottie/Akita...and about 50-60lbs at maybe 9-10 years old. Their heads are so close!

It is always so hard to tell of course. I think sometimes people would really be surprized if they knew for sure. But on to the guessing game anyway, since it is fun. It's funny that Gina said Rotty, as I saw that right away in his head shape. I also see husky, akita and rotty as a possibility just as Gina suggested. Might also be some shepherd in there too. It really is hard to tell for sure though, since most mixes are not necessarily a combination of purebreds they are a combination of other mixes.

Okay I got the pics! Note the head...it's really similar in shape and the ears are just twins...lol!

    Oh my gosh!!
That looks so much like him. Your are totally right about the head shape, ears, and size (by the looks of things).

So it's settled, he has husky[:)]

I have been reading up on their personality, and he doesn't have the standard husky attitude, so far, lol. I would bet if he does have lab, he got the brians from that fellow [;)]

Yeah you wanna hear something really interesting? I saw Motown's Momma and she was a CREAM and white colored Husky/Akita cross, in the parts where a Husky would be black ro grey...she was cream, no black on her anyplace! Like a Japanese styled Akita.

Very evident erect ears, curled tail, double thick coat, pretty triangular eyes, lol! But....Motown's Sire was a Rott (known fact) and being that, he had only one breed...and it wasn't diluted as the Momma's breed(s) were....he had more say on the outcome of the pups.

    Dogs are so weird!

he is gorgeous! I agree with most on the husky...the tail and stunning coloring. It will be fun to see what behaviors come out to help you woth your guessing game!

    Congrats!
