I think Black & Tan Coonhound

This is my sweetheart.  She's just a little over a year old now.  Got her from the Humane Society, and she ended up being diagnosed with distemper.  Humane society said it was an "untreatable disease" and wouldn't help with any of the bills and just wanted to put her down.  Several paychecks and tons of daily meds later, she made it through.  She's been the best dog, except her whole submissive problem.  She's scared to death of anyone female for some reason, and will go running away if I'm not around.  She's definitely a daddy's girl.  The humane society said she was a Terrier Mix, which I don't see.  I thinking some kind of Black & Tan Shepard Mix.  Either way, here's my baby girl.

    My guess,

Labrador X German Shepherd Dog mix, I do not see any hound. GSD's can be a bit shy if improperly bred and socialized...the wariness/suspicious gene gets outta whack lol.

    What's her height and weight?

Just going off of memory, she's between 20-25 inches at the shoulder.  She weighs 35 pounds give or take. I do see the lab in her face.  She's just too short to be either German Shep mixed with Lab I think.

Is she an adult or puppy? age? [;)]

The vet estimated her birthday around May or June of 2005.

Ah, they must have said terrier mix because of her small size... coonhounds are pretty big dogs and I doubt there's any B&T in yours. I would bet that she's a mix of several dogs, not just two... maybe GSD, Lab, and actually there's something about the face shape that makes me think Beagle too, but I think you've got a Heinz 57 or at least a Heinz 7 on your hands.[:)]

Sounds about right.  Heinz 57 Works for me.

Definately a gorgeous, sweet Heinz 57 there! I see shepherd, most definately. Maybe a little beagle. And coonhounds are not at all known for being shy! Anyway, my boy Marlowe over there is really small for a black & tan, and he's about 50 lbs give or take. Most coonhounds are more like 60-75.

If you look at the coat and the placement and carriage of the ears, you can see the difference between your sweety and a b&t.
