What oh What could my puppy be???

I won't tell you what they said she was, let's see what all we come up with here just for kicks!  She is now 10 weeks old, but is 9 weeks in the pictures, weighing in at 7lbs. She has a fluffy coat that is longer around her chest and back of head.  Her tail curls up and looks as though the fur will be long on it.  The tail is coarse, the body is very soft. I have not noticed any ticking or freckles on her body at all, but her nose is black and pink speckled.  Her legs seem longer than her body and her front legs almost appear slightly bowed outward depending on how she stands.  She has had not ONE single accident in the 6 days we have had her, and she seems to learn extremely fast.  She seems to already be learning her name, and has a definite feisty streak in her...but is just as sweet as pie at the same time.

Oh what a cutie!  Such unique markings on her too!  Aussie mix maybe?

Whateve she is, she's beautiful.  Congrats on your new baby!

Thanks!  She is a sweetheart, and really such a treat to train.  Our last dog, we lost about 6 weeks ago to an autoimmune disease, and we loved her dearly, but she was a total pain to train!  I did everything the same with both of them, and our former dog took till she was almost 8 mos old to housetrain! She was a great pyrenees/border collie mix, so I think the Pyr in her made her stubborn!  She was a cuddlebug though, and we still miss her.

Oh, what a pretty girl!  I see Australian Shepherd, too.  Maybe with some Lab and/or Golden Retriever.

I'd guess spaniel x collie mix, actually- the color headed white gene is a LOT more common in collies than aussies- it's fairly common in spaniels too (fieldbred springers, for example).

    Very cute pup!

For some reason I thought Great Pyr mix right away for this pup.

I thought she looked a little like a Pyr mix in the last pic, but I think she's too small for that.

Here are two pics of our LAST puppy who actually was half pyr!  We think the other half was border collie. (Misty is definitely not, she's way too tiny!)

I hadn't thought about the possibility of spaniel in there.  I do sometimes see collie though...or maybe Sheltie, which would account for her size.  I also occasionally see Jack Russell terrier in the mix.  Crazy!  Oh, and what about the curly tail?

English shepherd mixed with something else - maybe Pyr. A Pyr mix doesn't have to be huge if mixed with something that can be small. I really don't see anything else. OR, could be English shepherd and Border collie. BCs are very frequently white.

Awww, what a cutie!  She looks like an Aussie X to me too.

they said she was an aussie mix.  I think there's some type of small dog in the mix as well as some lab.  Her toes are webbed, and she will fetch the ball 20 times if we will do it.  She does have a definite herding dog bark, and she does that "stalking" thing, like a cat, where they go low to the ground and walk very slowly...then she'll suddenly POUNCE on her target!

A spitz tail is a curly tail.  Wrigley was about that size at that age.  He's American Eskimo.  Maybe you've got an eskie mix!  I was getting ready to pm you to compliment you on your beautiful puppy, but I found this post and decided to chime in.  Good luck with the baby!

I agree, the tail indicates some northern breed.

I was thinking a Husky mixed with Aussie too.
