Another name that mixed breed thread

Here's the picture since my husband's computer is a piece of junk:

    Now that we've got that...

Okay, she wandered onto the property night before last.  She's super super sweet.  I'm sure she was someone's pet and got loose.  She was pretty thin so I'm sure she has been away from home for awhile now.

I have her listed on several pet sites for found pets.  I'm also putting flyers up at the local corner store and asking neighbors.

She's on the small side - about 35 pounds.  My 14 year old daughter gave her a bath yesterday and she hopped out of the tub all wet and my daughter had no trouble picking her up and putting her back in the tub.

She's unbelievably smart.  I taught her several commands within a couple hours.  She walks pretty good on a leash.  She's very interested in cats but hasn't made any threatening moves toward them.  Excellent with the kids.  And no one bothered to housebreak her.  We are crate training her and feeding her well until we find her owners.

So, I think she has some kind of pit/bully in her - that's what her face looks like to me.  But she has a thinner sleeker body, almost like a shephard.  Her fur is super soft now that she's had a bath.

    What do you guys think??

Maybe Pit/BC? Her build looks more like a Border collie to me.  She looks sweet!  I hope you find her owner soon.

    Is that a pit/kelpie ??

Border collie imo.  Probably crossed with a pit.  Maybe... haha, I love these threads.

    I think pit/bc mix too.

I was going to say pit/BC also!

Every forum I've been on sees the it.  I've gotten everything from GSD, Lab, Husky and BC for the mix!!

Either way, she's a total sweetheart!  I really hope we find her owners soon before I get too attached.  Letting her go back home is going to be really hard.   I made up some flyers for her and we're putting them at  the shelter, vets offices, local stores, etc.

Keep your fingers crossed for her guys!!

    What a darling little girl!

    I think BC/pit is a good guess.

I wish I could see her head better. It's only her head that makes you go, hmm, pit? Since red, slick coat, and body and ears are all BC types, too.

A profile shot would be good - from the level of the dog, like with you sitting on the floor at the dog's eye level. When one points the camera down at the dog it foreshortens the angle and makes EVERY dog look like a pit bull. [;)]

The second shot looks very border collie, to me.
