Mystery solved! (at least according to my Vet.)
Apparently the tongues are so long that they're always licking their nose and it tends to make them dry. He suggested some KY or similar to be rubbed lightly about once a week and said that it was perfectly normal.
He also gave some suggestions on how to use a q-tip to keep the creases of his nose cleaned out to help fight bacteria and infections.
