Now at 8 months, any thoughts what she is?

We adopted Henrietta when we adopted her @ 4months old.
now she is 8 months, and longer body as well as some different fur coloring/marking have appeared since then.
Humane Society where we adopted her from said: Doberman & Unknown Mix

See the shark gill like markings on the back of her neck?

more: Sorry for the 2nd shot here - might be kinda dog porn, but shows her markings/fur

Long body - body kinda curved toward the tail like a shep?  Dobies have shorter bodies right?

1st pic: More shark gill look
2nd pic: This is how since a puppy at the pound she wodul just cracnk her head over like this to look behind her rather than turn around. funny little character - why we picked her

I certenly see more dobi in her than anything else.  Remember many of the dobie you see in show have their their tails docked and ears croped so their look is a little different.  She looks almost pure natural dobie to me with maybe a smidge of something else mixed in.

    1st pic chest area:
2nd pic - she likes to jump up - she will almost walk a little sometimes.

    Long legs and body

    Good Shark gill photo.

also, the fur on her neck & head looks black, but if you brush it with your head, looks very light tan under. but very short fur coat.

This last one I just had to post. as she looks so cute, and shows her personality - sweet

Sorry, I am not much help with guessing what she is....but whatever she is, she is absolutely gorgeous!!  Lucky you.

Dobe x GSD would be my guess. Her body is a rectangle like you picked up on...Dobies tend to be more square. The texture of the coat appears to tend more to GSD as Dobies are a single or at least very smooth coated breed. the gills behind her neck are caused by the double coat causing the undercolor of tan to "break" thru. Her head an muzzle favor the Dobie heavily tho. Lab or something like that would tend to make her muzzle and neck area heavier...so I'd not choose that for those reasons.

    Cute dog!

I would say you have a purebred cutie on your hands. She has such a shiny coat!!

I don't think she's purebred, the natural Dobies aren't that thick, and the ears are a little off. Dobie/Lab or some sort of shepherd is more probable.

She might not have any Dobie in her at all though!
