we have a mini and three toys. you can interbreed the different sizes, but many times they come out with either short legs, long bodies, so they are out of proportion. my mini is around 15 inches at his shoulder and has weighed as much as 22 pounds. he is considered a full size mini. a mini can be from just over ten to 15 inches. two of my toys are around eight pounds and just under ten inches. my other toy is tiny at four and a half pounds. she is about an inch or two shorter than her brothers.
the two other toys were adopted through poodle rescue. we adore them. they came from terrible circumstances, but have adjusted quite well. we've had one for well over a year, and the other we got this summer. he really had a horrible life. he was abandoned in a barn with 14 other poodles and livestock. he was the smallest of the group and must have been picked on. he probably had to fight for his food, because he wolfs it down and tries to steal everyone else's. i volunteer for poodle rescue and want to thank you for taking one in. there are so many that need and deserve to live in loving homes. i'm not sure who is luckier! once again thank you! the picture is of my rescued poodle dallas, who is now two years old. we LOVE him to pieces!!!!
