I fell in love with him right away and in the end he liked me more than his owners..but that's cause I paid more attention to him. • myshiloh Posted : 3/9/2007 9:07:18 PM Actually, I guess it's how you use the term straight. American GSDs have what often is called roach- or sloped-backs. The original GSDs from Germany have lovely, straight, strong, healthy backs. I love both but I feel sorry for the American GSDs. They look like they hurt when they move and their rate of hip displaysia is scary. That's why I love the Shiloh Shepherds. Lovely strong straigh healthy backs and movement like silk. I also love Cocker Spaniels (my new Pixel has lived with me less than two weeks).
