    Hi!  New here but have heard great things about this forum.  We got a wonderful dog from a shelter about 6 weeks ago and would love to know her breed mix.  We know she's mostly poodle, but there's definitely something else in there, as she sheds a tiny, tiny bit.  We thought cockapoo for awhile (or as I keep wanting to call them, "cockadoodle";) but someone suggested possibly Wheaten terrier, with the black on her ears and around her muzzle.  We love her no matter what, of course :)  but it would be interesting to hear opinions from those who know dogs!  I'll attempt to attach some photos.  Thanks!

     Anyway,I had a pup who looked just like this guy...his name was ozzy and he was a smart little mutt..what a great dog..

     Yours has a great look about her..Looks like she is going to be alot of fun!

    I think I'll agree with the Cocker/Poodle mix.

    Cocker/ poodle is probably a good guess.

    Definitely not wheaten as they are another non shedding breed and poodle x wheaten would still not shed.

    thanks!  i think i'll go with "cutiepoo" (latin name:  cutiecus adorablis.)  that oughta throw those breed-crazy people at the dog park!! :)

    Cocker/Poodle or maybe Wheaten/Poodle.  The coat doesn't really seem like a Wheaten.

    Her ears and coat look poodle-ish to me.

    I was going to say thae same thing!  The muzzle definitely looks like a Poddle's to me. Wheatens are much "squarer" in the face than Poodles.

    She is a very cute little girl. Tell us more about her!!

    thanks.  she's definitely mostly poodle, but we don't know the rest of her.  we got her from a shelter in ecuador, of all places.  we needed a non-shedding dog (landlady stipulation), and i grew up with mini poodles so know they are generally good pets to have (smart, affectionate, not barky etc.)  we used petfinder.com to locate a young, female poodle and she is the one that popped up, so we worked with their sister shelter in NYC to apply for her.  we know she was with a family that decided having a pet was "too much trouble" so took her to be euthanized at 18 months.  (can you imagine.)  it's clear she was also kicked around some, as she cowers in fear if you come at her too quickly.  fortunately she was rescued and is now exactly where she is supposed to be -- with us!  she's very, very cuddly, sweet, smart, and is getting more playful as she gets more comfortable with us.  i was the one to pick her up from the airport so she is extremely attached to me -- follows me from room to room and gets worried if i walk outside to get the mail!  she'll eventually realize i'm not going to abandon her, i think, and will settle down a bit.  we are totally in love with her!  :)

    My boyfriend's family has an identical dog, and it is said to be a cockapoo.
