Rottweiler/Pit mix?

Seriously though, I don't see why not.  They're close enough to the same size that it doesn't seem like the pups would be too big for the dam.  I'm surprised there aren't more of them.  To me it sounds like a great mix, but I'd never do it on purpose.  Did the dog look like a Pit Bull, only with the black and tan coloring?  Black and tan, although not very common, can appear in purebred Pit Bulls. 

Yes there are tons and they are as wonderful, loving and TRAINABLE as any other mutt

It's a good reason that there is not that many out there in this cold,hard world because then people would wanna ban them too.

Actually this is how ALL purebred dogs were created, by mixing different local Mongrels then inbreeding to get a set "look"[]
 
Purebred dogs are fairly new to the world of dogs, there have always been natural breeds which naturally developed due to the enviroment they were in...just like people we have black people who developed due to their environment..more pigments to deal with intense sun.  Eskimo's with slanted eyes to ward off the glare of the sun on the ice and an amazing genetic tendancy to be able to handle lots more fat due to the environement & foods they had to eat.  Pygmy's who are short, Indians etc.  Each human race is not a purebred and we can easiely interbreed..we do not have Mutts, we have little humans[]  It's the same for dogs. If I wanted to create a purebred human like man did purebred dogs I would isolate a few dogs & inbreed and cross breed til I got the look and motor patterns I wanted.  I think the only human purebreds I know of are the Royal family...but, they soon learned that way too many genetic problems inflict purebred breeding...and Hitler tried to create a purebred human.
 
So, dogs are all just dogs...some developed naturally due to nature...some developed artifically like our Purebreds.  So, to have a Rottie and an APBT mix is perfectly normal and natural.[]    

Well said Cally01.    I had to giggle though because I think they goofed when they made the pure breed Prince Charles. lol,lol  He may be smart and easy to train but kind of funny in the beauty department.
