What is my dog besides cute?

I'm curious as to what mix you think she is. The vet made an educated guess but I'm want to know what everyone else thinks.
She's about 2 and a half and about 45 pounds.

    Possibly pug and something else?

I see a lot of Shar Pei. Maybe mixed with Lab since Lab's seem to get around an awful lot! Possibly Pitbull too..

Shar Pei x Lab (with perhaps a dash of Pit) is my guess...

ETA: My reasons...lol! Color, Shar Pei come in Black as do Labs...the tongue spots...Shar Pei have blue mouths like a Chow. The facial Wrinkle and earset along with the set of the tail are Shar Pei...the SIZE of the ear is larger....which would come from the Lab. If her coat is a bit prickly to the touch that'd be from the Pei...but it was probably lessened by something else...she looks quite smooth...Lab or Pit would do that. Size...about right for a Pei...but mix 3 breeds and you typically get a medium sized dog around 45-50lbs full grown.

Looking more closely, I agree with the Shar Pei mix.  Is her fur kind of bristly?
    • Silver
around her neck and tail the fur is bristly and kind of stands up but the rest of her body and legs the fur is softer and lays flat.

Note the tail and body type of this dog...this is an unneutered male so he is much more massive...

ETA: Another neat pic of some black Shar Pei:

the body looks almost exactly like my dog.  She even has the extra skin around her neck.  Her snout is definitly not as wide though.  Thanks for the pics rwbeagles

Yeah, the minute I saw the pics I thought shar pei and probably lab. Though I also agree with maybe a touch of pit bull. There's definitely something pitty looking about that head, but it could also just be the mix of shar pei and lab.

Thanks for the help guys!  I did a little research on shar peis and she definitly fits the personality.  She is very loyal, protective, and stubborn.  She does like to snuggle though which apparently shar pies don't like to do.  If she is part lab I wish she would of gotten the love of water.  She doesn't even like to go outside when it rains. so giving her a bath is quite a challenge.  The shar pei characteristics seem to be much stronger than any lab characteristic.

    I agree with the others.
Her size is probably mostly due to any pit in her, but she SO looks sharpei. I don't have a lab, but I DO have a pit mix and I know pits have smooth, short coats that stay down to their skin.
I can't help but notice a partial bully smile.
Am I seeing that correctly, guys?

her hair is definitly longer than any pit I have ever seen.  Here's a more recent picture of her.

    • Gold Top Dog
    Oooh, yeah. You're right.
Sorry, I didn't notice how long it was in the other pics.
The other pics it looks short and smooth.[:D]

Like the others, I definitely see Shar Pei in her, but there's something there that also makes me think she has some Pug in her as well.

A lot of people tell me they think she looks a little pugish.  But I think thats mostly from the tail.  For those of you that think she might have a little pitt in her do you think its that noticable?  I'm looking to move into a new apartment building that allows pet but they don't allow dogs that are pit or chow mixes.  Do you think I'll have a problem?
    • Gold Top Dog
It's not really that noticable.  I would tell the apartment she is a "lab mix."  That avoids any conflicts.  Labs have a great reputation, so it helps.
