Help! I don't know what he is but he sure is cute!

I adopted this sweet lil guy this weekend and they told me he was a Corgi mix, but I just don't see it. If anyone can help me identify his breed/breeds I would be eternally grateful! Thank you! Katie

He looks like a BC mix to me.

I was thinking the same thing.  His legs seem a little too long for a corgi. Whatever he is, he's awfully cute.[:)]

Is it possable there could be a pinch of springer spanel in there as well?  It's so hard to tell in thoes pics but the body and color almost seems right for that, the face just doesn't seem to match.

    Border Collie.

    What's his temperament like?

He is very gentle and calm, has an extremely funny bark. Almost sounds like he is whining or howling I guess, kind of hard to exlplain. He loves to be brushed and petted even by my 4 yr. old son. He gets along well with my other dog seen above. Does bark at my pot bellied pig though and kind of runs after the birds or wild rabbits.

Aren't you lucky! He isn't terrifyingly, diabolically smart?

LOL well I have only had him a few days, he may be the smartest dog in the world, we will see. I do know that they said he wasn't housebroke, but he has yet to have an accident in my house, scratches at the door to be let out!

My guess is he has some spaniel as well. Going after the coat.

Coat reminds me of spaniel - the feathering in the back and the "quill-shaped" plume of the tail (BCs have fan-shaped plumes).  But could be some BC in there too - maybe a sheltie/BC parent and a spaniel parent.
