    Possible Hybrid?

    Hi everyone! [:)]

This puppy showed up infront of our house last month in the middle of the night when a family member arrived for a visit. We live in Arizona. As it was very cautious, hunched and circling our terrified family member, we mistook it for a coyote. Or did we?? Once I started speaking to him and offering him contact, he became very happy! Turned out to be a HUGE sweetie, giving loads of kissing.. this suggested to me that he'd had human contact. He even lead me to our gate and kept pushing on it. When he couldn't get in, he just sat there. We've done absolutely everything to find it's owner - filed reports, posted signs, looked for signs, scanned for chip - but no luck. And we're certainly not complaining.. he's such the charmer!

He seems to be about 6-or-so months of age. His eyes are a striking translucent green. My brother took the pup home that night and has had him since. Does anyone have any ideas of his breed(s)? I thought maybe a hint of Husky, but he's too lanky in his features (eyes, ears, coat). Although the resemblance he shares with a coyote is uncanny! Or am I just seeing things?? [8D] [;)]

Sorry the pictures aren't very good.. they're all I have!

    And here's a picture of a coyote:http://www.eastmead.com/images/NAM36.JPG

Edit- Just as a note, some shady people passed along information that he'd been wandering around for about 4 or 5 days. He was so starving that he was attempting to eat the rocks in our yard, etc. :[ So he definately is not "wild".

He looks like a red and white husky. The lankiness is probably just adolescence. But maybe jeano will see this - she has a coydog....

Even with poorly bred Huskies, I've never seen ears that big on a Sibe!  Those are GSD ears!

I'm guessing the bugger is a Husky/GSD mix, judging by color, pattern, and head shape (which screams GSD to me)

He looks like a Red and White Husky to me but his ears are so Large..  I'm wondering if he might be a Husky/Shepherd Mix.  But whatever he is he sure is handssome.

Heres an example of Husky ears on our boy Gizmo
