She's absolutely beautiful. Sibes have a wide range of looks. This, IMHO, is due to that fact that, except for the 20th century, they were not bred for conformation or a certain look. They were bred to pull hard and run fast and be good around the family. For at least 1,000 years. They can be piebald, bi-eyed, parti-eyed. There is some range to height and weight.
But everyone has seen "Snowdogs" and think that all Sibes look like "Demon." If they don't, they must be a mix.
Around here, Labs are king. So, a number of people will guess correctly that Shadow has some Lab. But most can't quite get the other part of his mix. This one woman thought he was a mix of black and chocolate Lab, even though he's four colors, iridescent eyes, small, pointed ears, and a bushy tail carried in a hook or curled over his back, in spite of a low tail set. A few have guessed some wolf hound, and wolf hybrid. But the ones who get it right are other owners of Sibes. Especially if they get to see him in person.
