    Staffordshire bull terrier

Could you recommend good SBT breeders? Or tell me registered names of dogs that you find pretty and have a good temperment. Can be worldwide :)

    thanks

p.s. does this forum have a wizard to eliminate spelling errors? :)

I am new to the site and hope this is an acceptable reply (no advertising), but we got Nanny from Sonshine Staffords in San Diego, CA.  We went on a Sunday and spent 8 hours with them and there dogs.  It's a "mom and pop" operation where they really care about their "kids".  Nanny is the most amazing animal I've come in contact with and her pedigree has more champion asterisks than not.  Feel free to contact me for pictures, their website, or their contact information.  I'm convinced there is no other dog like a Staffy... no other!

I'm sure you could locate a good Staffy breeder any where. First place I'd look is on the parent clubs website for reccomendations of breeders who are ethical, don't breed much and health test as well as show their dogs

    Here's the parent clubs site

Please keep in mind before adding a Staffy to your family to first consider what Breed Specific Legislation is in place or pending in your area.

I know a few breeders here in the PA/NJ/NY area if I can be of any help

Thanks for those links they will be very helpful.

Sbt are currently banned in my country but I have hopes that that will change in coming years. Bull terriers were allowed 1-2 years ago. And rottweilers and dobermans a few years before that.

So high hopes and I want to be done with my research if I would be allowed to import one :)

I would like to see a rule in Iceland about children under 14 not being allowed to walk dogs on their own, it´s just amazing how many parents send young children out with massive dogs.

I have actually seen a 6 year old out walking an 8 month old Great dane. Probably around 3 times the weight of the kid[sm=no no smiley.gif]

I don´t think I would send anyone under 14-16 out with a fully grown staffie just because the kid might not be able to handle situations it´s put into by other people or loose dogs. And a fully grown staffie is extremely strong aswell. I would like the kid to be atleast 3 times the weight of the dog to properly controle it in all situations
