The girl who was selling him got him from a rescue place as a companion for her dog,but her dog didn't get along with him.    You should have seen what he did yesterday!!!! He shut my tv cable box off....with his nose...LOL!!!! Little wiseguy!!!   I hope to have pics on here soon. • smilee1079 Posted : 4/8/2006 8:30:02 PM I have a mini dachshund.  From experience and everything I have read about dachsies, it is important to socialize and get them in obedience when they are young because they are stubborn .  I got Zoe from the SPCA when she was about 2 so I missed prime obedience time but I have taken her to 2 classes and she definitely has improved.    I can't wait to see pics of the golden/dachshund and I'd like to see lab/dachshund too.  These seem like such random mixes based on the size difference of the dogs! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. She, is like having a child in our family. love her so much... • donna walentovic Posted : 4/14/2006 2:03:10 PM This is so upsetting. I open our local paper and its says 5 dachsund found dead in Cimmorn subdivision. Guys I lives in this neighbor hood. And, I will not let my doxie out of my sight she does go out in our back yard but, thats about it. They do know it was teens that did it. And they say, they have some evidence and soon will make an arrest. I am just appauled that someone would hurt doxie's. • indieandcleo Posted : 4/19/2006 12:29:41 AM I too just got a Goldie Dach mix and am very curious if there is anything I need to know about the mix. The mother was the Dach and father Goldie so she has the short legs, Dach nose, but she has the goldie hair and her legs ar short but thick. She's such a cutie and I'm concerned that she's going to have leg problems because I am told that Dachs have leg problems anyway.
