There's a possibility he might have some sheltie or collie but the rest of him is consistent with many dogs I've known, and he's not outside the range of looks for a purebred BC. Templeton's Moss lines. • brookcove Posted : 8/3/2006 3:23:43 PM OK, seventy five pounds is pretty big for a BC! Could be a mix, maybe with Doberman? You'd think such a mix would be a noticeably clever dog, however. I just always feel the need to step in and point out that many Border collies don't look like the ones at AKC shows. LOL, I guess everyone has to have a mission in life. Posted : 8/3/2006 9:47:12 PM I could agree there's Collie in there.  (And just so you know, the rough and smooth are the same breed, just different coats.  If you bred a rough to a slick coated dog, you will usually get a short haired dog).  I don't think it's Husky/Collie for two reasons - not enough hair and those ears would be prick.  With that earset, I'd say it would have to be something like a Lab or maybe even a Dobe.  Dobe/Shep wouldn't explain the white markings -- you've got to bring that into the picture. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
