• Elizabeth Lutz Posted : 7/20/2006 1:52:17 PM Thanks[] When we adopted her they told us she was a beagle/chihuahua mix........ the vet then said she was a beagle/norwegien elkhound mix.......... So just wondering what everyone else thinks........... I thought German Shepherd when I first saw her but she is very tiny..... She is 4lbs.   The shelter said she was 12 weeks but the vet puts her at about 7 weeks as of Wed (7/19). • Xebby Posted : 7/20/2006 1:57:32 PM First vet I took Gizmo to (not the one I work for now) told me she was a Chi. mix of some sort. She was very tiny but i think it was mostly because her previos owners didn't care for her like they should have. Now Gizmo is a happy 40lb dog with a very BC attitude, no way there is any chi. in her. • Elizabeth Lutz Posted : 7/20/2006 2:01:53 PM No......I adopted her from a local no kill shelter.  They brought her up from Tennessee and Im in Ohio.  They said she was a rescue.  They also thought she was 12 weeks old so maybe thats why they thought Chi, but I dont think there is any in her.  At least I dont see any. lol  But then when my vet said nope 6 weeks at her appt last week I thought........hummmmmm 4lbs isent so tiny.lol  But when I thought she was 12 weeks it was.  She has alot of her teeth just a few missing at the sides. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • ron2 Posted : 7/20/2006 7:46:05 PM Beagle makes sense as I was about suggest a hound or some type of hunting dog. The only thing I saw that was reminiscent of husky is the mask of the face and some of the face structure. I have seen Norweigan Elkhund and a GSD/Norweigan Elkhund mix and didn't see any of that in your puppy and chihuahua seems totally out of the picture.   I'm willing to bet he is 100 % pure lovehound.   0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
