What is Ada?

Ada our terrier 'foster' who seems to be sticking around a bit more permanently than anticipated. LOL 15.5 inches tall approximately 17 or so lbs. Sorry my Firefox is not working well so I'm on safari, which is why I haven't really been around this forum much lately. :( DSC_5580 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr z17 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr z16 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr z13 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr z11 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr a13 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr a2 by Summer_Papillon, on Flickr

What a cutie!  I love the smile!

The steel grey blanket, and arrangement of the colors, is VERY, Yorkie as is her facial structure. But that coloring is something you don't see much on just any black and tan terrier. I will say there is Yorkie in there for certain. I will also say that Yorkies are very popular right now to mix with other smallish breeds. For that reason, and also given her size an body structure I will say Yorkie x Miniature Schnauzer and possibly a third breed, Poodle since that seems common among the "mixers" as well.

I saw some pictures of her on Chazhound - cute! She looks a lot like the JRTxYorkie that came into the grooming shop I work at a couple weeks ago. Yet another "designer dog". I did a search on them and there seems to be quite a variation in looks but here's some pictures of them:

Somehow I missed the pics of her with the Paps on Chazhound.  That definitely helps me with size.  LOL  I still  see Border Terrier in her face.  She looks a lot like the Schnauzer/Poodle/Terrier mix we had when I was a teen.  I might have a pic of him someplace.

I personally think she's a yorkie X with somethihg heavier eared than say, a Schnauzer.

Yorkie/Lhasa or Yorkie/Shih Tzu is my vote.

There seems to be a LOT of variant in these "designer" breeds and as I am sure you know they can end up looking almost exactly like one or the other parent breeds, or both, or kinda neither. Hard to say, lol.

I think sometimes in pics she looks a lot smaller than she is!  the vet guessed JRT x yorkie actually.  I think I could buy that.

I see JRT here and she acts very JRT:

    But I see schnauzer here:
