Eclipse -- I have always had collies. At present I have four count em four: Billie (CH Cherfire Singlar Sensation ST/VC/CGC), a tri; Lucas (Cherfire's Forever Young), a blue merle; Tristan (Breigayt Ranger's Tristan), a sable; and Sarah, a heavily tri-factored sable and my rescue dog.

Eclipse -- Can't figure out how to post pics, did the Photobucket thing but it didn't work. You can see Sarah at [linkhttp://www.crlne.org]www.crlne.org[/link], click on "Success Stories." Sorry if I've posted this before but I can't remember because I don't come here every day.

colliewog -- his ears look like Lucas'! They pricked when he was a few months old, I didn't know how to fix 'em and now it's too late, he's 4 yo, but he looks SO CUTE -- I call him "Antenna Ears" or "Papillon Ears" sometimes! At any rate, your collies are so beautiful!!!

eclipse -- I know this is old but the name finally came to me: double dilute. Although I don't understand how you can tell a dd from a plain white.

OOPS. I meant to say that Sarah is a heavily-trifactored merle! DUH

Typically DDs don't have a full colored head, but instead has splashes of either blue or sable merle coloring. and much more white than the typical pattern.  A BM or SM headed white would have a normally marked head, ie if you just looked at the head, you would assume the body was normally patterned.

Here is Skye, a blue merle CHW
Not a double dilute- you can see he has very little white on his head. Normal hearing and vision. Skye was a rescue and was a long-term foster that I placed when I moved back to Dallas as he couldn't handle an urban environment.

Colliewog, here's the latest photo of Mal- our first show is this weekend (hopefully we'll get better ones. These were just before going out for a walk and Mal was busy being a spaz. He's leaning backwards in the photo, his ears really DO tip, I promise :P)
