• Musings Barbara Adler Posted : 1/1/2007 7:36:37 PM Has anyone out there (besides us), adopted a "flunk out" from a Dog Guidence agency? Our 18 month old Lab flunked with a score of 90, because she dosn't like being groomed. We have not yet received her, but we have heard so many wonderful things about her, I'm considering becoming handicapped in some manner, just to use all of her training! Agility and flyball use targeting quite a bit, and you can transfer other skills to parlor tricks to keep your new dog's mind busy. Oh, and how about freestyle/dog dancing? • Katie Posted : 1/2/2007 4:51:24 PM My Aunt and Uncle have a CCI flunkie, a black lab named Etta.  She came back to her puppy raiser, my Aunt's best friend, because she is afraid of loud noises.  It turns out the rest of her litter was the same way, which makes us think something scary happened to them at a critical time.  Other than that she is fabulous.  One of the most gentle, sociable labs I've met.  Here she is with her "brother" and my boys.  I'd love to adopt a service dog dropout someday.  Seems like a great way to go!
