I spoke to the agility trainer and she said that Ruby could start at any time, without the jumps, of course. She said she started her pup, a Doberman, at four months and it was fine. I'll have to pick a class that can work with our schedules (school, T-Ball, Soccer, Cub Scouts) but I'm gonna give it a go. I'll check out that website you referenced. I'd like to know a little more about the genetics of this breed. I know that Aussies bond tightly with their owners but I'm surprised at how quickly and easily she's done this. This pup seriously shadows me. Everywhere I go, she's right by my feet, even sleeping on the kitchen floor right now while I'm on the computer. She's normally so high energy but I've noticed that when I need to do something, say send an email or make a phone call, it's like she knows I need a moment and she acts accordingly. I swear she can read my mind. I had the stomach flu a few weeks ago and ended up in the emergency room and when I came home my hubby left with the boys to give me some peace and quiet and Ruby must've sensed something was wrong because she literally slept all day with me and didn't seem to want me out of her sight. I'm amazed, each and every day how intuitive she is. Is this normal for such a young age? Sorry to ramble, I'm just so thankful to have her.
S - I'll start a new thread or PM you next time I have a question for you; that first picture is really creeping me out.
