Cardigan Welsh Corgis

Brookcove xD  Maybe you should be honored, I'll name my new pup after you!

Well, me and a few thousand of my relatives!  Slainte to you and your new pup-to-be's parents!  I'm "bringing home baby" this weekend and I'm down to counting hours, now.  It's hard to believe after waiting so long there's going to be a real live pupper here by this time next week!

ETA: If you name your pup Riddle I'll be his godmother - you can bring him down anytime for sheep sessions!

*FOCL!* Any chance you'd be willing to teach a GSD BC style herding too xD!  Man, if you do real training I'd consider sending my Corgi to you once he's old enough.  I'd love to do herding with Mouse, but nobody does tending up here!

I've had GSDs, Mals, and Tervs here.  I'm not really a trainer, but I have good ones here for clinics on a regular basis.

I have a friend who is moving to Kentucky who breeds and operates a small sheep farm with Tervs.  She is a pretty well known trainer and specializes in Belgians/GSDs.  They ARE very "special", I've noticed. But they can learn regular working techniques just as well as any other stockdog.  And it's easier to find training - I know there's people up your way, for instance.

Here is a Mal learning the ropes at my last clinic:

The only major breed I haven't had here is Corgis.  If you were serious about trying out herding with any of your dogs I'm sure I could find you someone a lot closer to you!

I just found more - this is my friend with the Tervs.  This is my favorite - she's telling her dog, who is refusing to take a command, "D-O-W-N spells DOWN!  OK, no sex for YOU!"
