What is your all-time favorite dog breed?

I love bullies and big, powerful breeds- IMO, they're such great teachers- they don't respond well to harshness, and you actually have to WORK with them to get them to do what you want. It becomes a real partnership- you just can't bully them into doing things like you can less dominant breeds. Everything has to be based on mutual respect and understanding.   I love ALL bully breeds, but akitas are quickly winning a place in my heart. I think if I had to pick an absolute favorite, I'd have to say Cane Corsos. If I could have any breed, that would be it. • Luvntzus Posted : 11/20/2006 5:29:35 AM My favorite is most definitely the Shih Tzu. I love, love, LOVE those little Ewoks! They're so adorable and have the best personality for me. Gingerbread is so quiet, laid back and easy to have around, he's independent enough that he's not constantly under my feet, yet he's always ready to snuggle. [] He also loves going for walks and can go 2 miles without batting an eyelash. He's a great watchdog, but not a yapper and friendly to strangers while still being incredibly loyal. He's small enough to pick up and carry into stores, but big enough to snuggle up with at night. I could not ask for anything more! • Stephanie Book Posted : 11/25/2006 4:03:31 PM I'm going to have to say the German Shepherd Dog. And next after the GSD would be Labrador and Golden Retrievers. And not because they're popular...I don't like the really stocky look of the Lab, I would want more of a field bred Lab.
