Thank you all, very much.  It really is reassuring to think that the strong vibes here can make a difference.  Part of why I believe he did so well last time.

My mom just sent me a msg - the doctor just came out of the OR to report "all is well", that my dad is still in the OR so it will be awhile until he goes into a recovery room.  My mom will call us after she gets to see him.
