Need some vibes for Campbell - Bugsy's buddy - Updated again - worse

. I'd be a total wreck - lightning striking twice and all.

  I know someone who has 2 boxers with heart problems; she takes them to a vet school for treatment. I am a fan of Boxers mainly because I remember a pair that lived across the street when I was growing up. I used to go over and play with them. Both of the children in the family were severely brain damaged and would be pretty rough on the dogs, pulling their ears and such but the dogs were very patient with them. I hope Campbell's going to be okay; sending healing vibes.

Oh no.  I can't imagine how upset Campbell's owner must be.  Healing vibes for Campbell and for his Mom.  My Lab Magic, lived for six years after she was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at around three years old.  She was hypothyroid too.  I threw the tennis ball for her every day up until very shortly before she died.  I know there are different degrees and kinds of heart damage and problems but it's not always the worst.  Sending healing and hopeful vibes to Campbell and his Mom.

Oh man, this does not sound good...but we have to be hopeful.  Sending healing and good thoughts to Campbell and his family.

Sending pets and prayers!  I have only experience with a kitty that has HCM. Thankfully it is controlled under medication. Paws crossed Campbells can be also.

 Boy, that stinks.  I hope that the idog vibes help.

 Poor Carol is in tears - it is cardiomyopathy.  She & her DH are calling the breeder tonight and are right now thinking about returning him to live there on the farm.  She's destroyed at the thought of this but having nursed two boxers to their early deaths (one at three from CM and another at 4 I think to cancer) she doesn't feel up to nursing this pup to his premature death with no playdates, etc.  She also feels it would not be fair to their young daughter.

So I dont' know what else to say.  I have grown very attached to this little guy and he and B were very good buddies

I am so sorry to hear this.  I feel terrible for the owners...they have been through it, haven't they?

How heartbreaking for Campbell's owners. :(  It's just too sad for words.

 I'm glad returning him to the breeder is a good option -- hopefully they will be more careful in their breeding in future (particularly if this is a breeder they've used more than once) - it can be really hard to eliminate heart problems from lines because often they don't develop early.  Sad for all.

Very sad.  [[hugs[[ and [[prayers]] that Campbell has a good life despite his health problems.

OH poor Campbell! Keep us updated on this poor boy
