She is doing well--really well, much stronger over the last two weeks.  She even put her paws up on my bed to wake me up from a nap.  I haven't even been sleeping in bed all summer because she couldn't do that to wake me until just this week.  And, she's walking a little more too.  So, overall she seems OK.

Lori - I had no idea. I knew she was ill, but I didn't think it was that bad. I'm so sorry. I will definitely keep you and Willow in my thoughts and prayers. I will be looking for a post tomorrow with some good news.

Keep tryin my lady girl ... I NOOOOOOSE where ya're comin frum an after a while that pred sux in a big way.  But don't give up.  YOU KIN DO IT. 

Willow just keep on keepin on ... you'll get ta t'other end.  REEELY.  It's scaredy fur R moms but just keep steppin on. 

There WILL come the day when U'll feel even a bit bedder.  TAKES a LONG time.  Fin-leeee you'll get ta the day when YOU feel like waggin and lovin on yur Mom just cos you FEEL good, not cos it's the only-est thing you kin do.

If you close yur eyes you will feel me snufflin your ear.  Respectfully tho.  I'm not one fur dogs I dunno messin with me but I unnerstand.  If you feel just a liddle breeze?  it's my little tail nubbin waggin at the speed of sound.  Just lettin the Apha of all Alphas know we care 2.

I'm having some trouble sleeping as I do every time we are waiting for these results.  I just sit up most of the night just counting the hours until the vet calls.

Yes, she was pretty sick and still does have a ways to go.  But, overall doing quite well considering the medication, her age and what the illness actually was.

I heard back and the results were good!!!  So, she's down to one pill and in AM and 1/2 pill in the evening!!  In total she's down from the original dose of 80mg of Prednisone to 30mg.  The weaning off process is very slow.

Lori, I'm late again but you & Willow are never far from my thoughts.  I'm so glad that she had good results from the blood test.  Please give her some belly rubs & know that the pack & I are pulling for our favorite blue girl.
