Sometimes it takes a scare like this to kick people in the butt and change their lifestyle. I hope that he comes home and starts living his life like he should. Sending good thoughts to you.

Prayers and good thoughts for both of you coming from us, Marty. You know, sometimes all it takes is one really good scare to make someone realize what they have to do ... and winding up in the ICU would certainly do that.

I am saddened to have to say that he passed away on Tuesday. His heart wouldn't support the rest of him, and all systems failed.

My children are with me, and we are expecting family flying in this afternoon. The funeral is tomorrow...with full military honors. I will be OK, but it's going to be hard....

Marty, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's passing. I've checked back to this thread periodically and was hoping "no news was good news," so I'm very saddened to see your latest post. Sending you lots of good thoughts and prayers as you face your loss. I hope you are comforted by memories of your husband and that you feel supported by the family, friends and dogs who surround you. Oh no. Oh, Marty. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. I wish you the strength and peace you need to get through this time, I cannot imagine how you must feel... but know that my tears and heart are with you.
