I just heard from Ellie today:
Hi,
The good news is Daisy comes home tonight!
She is doing great. Dr. Kennedy tends to be very cautious in his prognostications, and he says the surgery turned out, and is healing, "far better than he ever would have predicted." I told him he appears to have been given the job of producing miracles for the animals I
have been given the job of finding.
The tough part is going to be the crate rest. It's very important that she not tear her pins apart. She is still growing so the pins will just grow into her bones and disappear.
But of course, she is a puppy so as soon as it doesn't hurt so much, she wants to play play PLAY! They tell me she is already doing things like tossing her blankie in the air and trying to get the staff to play
tug with her.
Please, tell your folks on the other board a big THANK YOU for good thoughts and prayers.
It does matter, I am totally sure. When I hear doctors say things like,
"wow, this outcome is so much better than it had any right to be", I know we've had a little help!
