Prayers for my great niece please

Two year old Zoey fell...no real details at this point....she is in critical condition at DeVoss Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids. Sis and her hubs are down there to take care of the two older boys and their entire family is in an uproar. Jon is the nephew with the very serious heart condition, so we're all concerned about the stress on him as well.

Prayers, good vibes for John, Melissa and Zoey please?

A little bit of an update at almost 10:30. There is bleeding on Zoey's brain. The surgeon is standing by. She has had seizures, been in and out of consiouness (sp) vomiting...all fairly serious signs of a concussion, but the brain bleed is frightening.

It sounds not as scarey this morning, to me anyone.

From my niece:

Thanks so much for all of your prayers. She is in the Pediatric ICU at Devos with bleeding on both sides of her brain. She is listed in critical condition, but this morning my brother reports she is responding much more like her usual sel...f. She had another scan to determine if anything surgical needs to be done to stop the bleeding or to relieve pressure on her brain. I think they will be consulting with the neorosurgeon later this morning to figure out her recovery plan. I will continue to keep you posted. Thanks again - so very much, for your prayers.

Zoey is out of ICU and in a regular room!!!

there is still retinal bleeding and they now suspect that she may have the same blood condition that killed her birth mom after Zoey's birth. She's being tested for that today.

This is a nightmare situation for Jon and Melissa and of course there is the ripple effect hitting so much of the rest of the family.

But, at least there is a good deal more hope now.

You guys are awesome. Thanks, yet again.

I'm so glad she's doing better and if there is an underlying cause, I hope they can find it and treat it.

I truly hate to pray for it to be due to a medical condition, but I am. The alternative is the authorities maybe thinking that someone did something wrong and thats not even a question with her parents.

Glad to hear she is out of ICU. My prayers are with her and her family. Hope all goes well.
