Thanks for posting this Callie and thanks for all the prayers from everyone. Please keep them coming.
The hospital just called with an update and said she did well thru the night. They've had her up and she even ate a little. She's still considered critical, so they're watching her closely. If she continues to improve, we might be able to bring her home tomorrow.
I'm truly thankful that DH was off yesterday or I think I'd have come home to find her gone. When he called me to say something was wrong, I told him "scoop her and GO!!" Unfortunately, he'd been working on his car and had disassembled something making it inoperable, so I broke speed records and drove home. She was so critical by the time we rushed her to the vet that they weren't sure they could save her. I'm also thankful that we went there vs. trying to get to the hospital or the time difference could have changed the outcome. I wish I were breathing a sigh of relief but I'm very worried that the mass was cancer and we may have only bought a small amount of time. Still, even if it's a small amount of time, I want that. The shock of thinking that I never got to love on her and say "good-bye" was torturing me last night .
I'm at work and trying to focus on other things. My boss is here today, so that might be a good thing. He lost his lab, Bella, to almost the same thing as what Sassy is going thru, so he understands.
Thanks again for all the support, good thoughts and prayers. It really does mean the world to me.
