He's home and he's doing OK, a little groggy still. He had a dental and had 2 broken teeth pulled :( Also, something I did not expect at all....he had a Lyme test done- because I forgot to ask to have it done last time we were at the vets- and he came back positive for Lyme Disease :( he has to take 4 pills/day for 28 days, my poor babe!!!

Aw poor pup. At least it's treatable right? :) Give him hugs and kisses for me!

Smart to have the dental done at the same time...I'm sorry to hear about the Lyme though.  So, just this round of meds for 28 days will take care of it?  Glad he is home.

Oh, dang, I just now saw this.  I'm glad he came through the procedure okay, but I'm so sorry about the Lyme disease.  Poor Apollo!!!  Get better soon you handsome boy!

Yup, after the meds he will be tested again.

I'm so pissed at myself because last year at his annual I chose to skip the Lyme vaccine because I didn't want to over-vaccinate him....

Good to hear everything went well.  Was he showing any signs of Lyme before all this?  At least you found out and can get it treated now!

None at all, which is why I'm really shocked still. The vet said lameness is a symptom, but he wasn't showing any.

I got him a small fat-free, sugar-free vanilla soft serve in a cup, he loved it....it was in the high 80's here, lol.

Don't be bummed -- he NOW will *never* have to take a Lyme shot cos he's gonna have "natural" immunity!!!  (like you only get mumps once???)  The body will make antibodies now and he'll be good to go!!

I just saw this thread.  I'm glad that Apollo is doing ok after his big adventure today.

Glad everything is done and Apollo is OK.  Willow is being treated for Lyme and anaplasma now.  It's our area it's out of control with ticks!   We had her at the ER Sunday, she was lame, not eating, etc. etc.
